Journey into the work of Sam Shepard with the granddaddy of them all. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Shepard's most acclaimed drama, BURIED CHILD examines a family struggling to hold on to the future as the past invades their lives. Starkly poetic, darkly comic and mysterious, the play is a vision of a family from America's Heartland transformed into a symbol of America's loss of innocence.
"A bona fide classic: a work that conveys the mystical, cannibalistic pull of family ties even as they unravel."

Description
Now in its eighth season of producing plays, New Village Arts Theatre has become the most critically acclaimed theatre in North County San Diego. NVA was founded in April, 2001 by graduates of New York's Actors Studio Drama School and its first full production was seen in November of 2001.
The current location of the theatre was built in 1922 as a lumber yard (be sure to check out the gorgeous wood work) and is one of the oldest buildings in the Village. It now houses a comfortable 99-seat theatre - an intense, intimate way to experience live theatre.
