Maria Riley, Visit Carlsbad’s Communications Manager, attended TravMedia’s International Media Marketplace (IMM) in New York City last month. IMM is an annual global networking event connecting the travel industry with top journalists, editors, broadcasters, and influencers. Celebrating its seventh year in NYC and 11th globally, IMM is firmly established as the must-attend annual event for media relationship-building and networking opportunities.
Visit Carlsbad sponsored the networking breaks at the TravMedia Summit, allowing us to share our new brand video, greet guests to our “flower field” and surfing activation by Surfset NYC and enjoy treats from Chuao Chocolatier and The Carlsbad Cookie Company. Visit Carlsbad also sponsored an early morning virtual surf lesson class for conference attendees from Surfset NYC.
Maria was also able to meet with travel media in 24 prescheduled one on one appointments and pitch stories about Carlsbad. Maria exhibited as part of the California Pavillion hosted by Visit California.
