Carlsbad’s Halloween Happenings 2025
The season of spooktacular fun is right around the corner. With thrilling attractions and festive events that are perfect for the whole family, it’s time for you to plan your next visit to Carlsbad.
Carlsbad is serving up a packed calendar of fall festivities this year. From iconic pumpkin patches to Halloween-themed creative workshops and workouts, there are plenty of ways to create lasting memories.
Family-Friendly Fun
In Carlsbad you’ll find events and attractions throughout the season that are great for all ages.
The Pumpkin Patch at the Carlsbad Strawberry Company is the ideal spot for fall photoshoots and festive fun! Open from Sept. 19 through Nov. 2, the pumpkin patch offers more than just impressive gourds that are ready to carve the perfect jack o’lantern. You can make friends with the adorable sheep, goats and rabbits or go on a tractor ride to see all the fields of pumpkins and marigolds. If you’re up for a challenge, you can also give a go at their corn maze which is perfect for kids during the day. New this year is Jurassic Fright, a one-of-a-kind experience that is sure to delight every dino-lover. Walk among towering animatronic dinosaurs and discover a prehistoric world as you navigate through the themed zones in a corn maze.
Jump into a scary good time at the Pumpkin Plunge at Alga Norte Aquatic Center on Oct. 18. Grab your swimsuit and join for spooky pool activities that include games, floating obstacles and prizes. There’s also a bounce house, lawn games and splash pad, making this fun for the whole family. Bring your lasso skills and be ready to wrangle your own pumpkin at the floating pumpkin patch!
The Brick-or-Treat Monster Party is back at LEGOLAND California from Sept. 20 through Nov 1! This family-friendly event will feature live shows, LEGO Monster Meet & Greets, costume contests and more. You’ll also get to experience limited-time food and drink as well as themed attractions like the new Ghost Cruise. There are of course the Halloween staples of trick-or-treating and costume contests to make this the perfect way to celebrate the season.
Haunts and Nightlife
For those of you hoping for some frights that will get your heart pounding, or an adults-only evening, Carlsbad has you covered.
The Haunted Corn Maze is back again at the Carlsbad Strawberry Company and will be open from Oct. 3 through Nov. 2 on Fridays and Saturdays. This scary nighttime maze will give you your fix of Halloween fright as you try to navigate your way out of the haunted maze full of scarers ready to jump out at you.
For a fun night out, grab your friends and plan to join in on the Carlsbad Creepy Crawl on Oct. 18. Put on your best costume and get ready for this Halloween-themed bar crawl that will take you to some of Carlsbad’s most popular bars. You’ll get to enjoy festive drink specials and surprises all while benefiting Ripples of Change: The Drake and Kiersty Foundation, which brings joy and comfort to young adults receiving cancer treatment in San Diego.
Mark your calendar for Oct. 25 for a fabulous evening at Bros-Feratu: A Haunted Halloween Drag Show at New Village Arts. This hilarious show will bring together local drag kings, queens and creatures for an evening of devilish delights and ghoulish glamour. Reserve your tickets in advance and be sure to wear a spectacular costume for the occasion.
Wickedly Wonderful Workshops
Why not try something new this fall season and get crafty at one of the themed art workshops?
Handled Pottery Studio in Carlsbad Village is hosting an array of seasonal workshops that let you craft Halloween-themed keepsakes. Suitable for ages six and up with no experience necessary, these classes guarantee a fun-filled evening! You can choose from creating a haunted house, jack o’lantern or monster mug at one of these specialty hand building events. The Haunted House workshop will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, the Jack O’Lantern workshop on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 and the Monster Mug workshop will occur on Sept. 26, Oct. 5. And Oct. 11. There is limited space for each of these events so be sure to book your spot in advance, so you don’t miss out on the Halloween crafting!
If you’ve been eyeing a new statement jewelry piece for fall, why not make it yourself? Teressa Lane Jewelry, a boutique known for their beautiful, personalized jewelry, is hosting two events that give you the chance to choose your next permanent jewelry piece. Celebrate the fall full moon on Oct. 18 and join in for their Harvest Moon Bonding Day event. You’ll experience grounding rituals and get to choose how to customize your next permanent piece! There is also another special bonding day on Nov. 11 that lets you participate in a meaningful celebration of Día De Los Muertos by honoring loved ones through jewelry, treats and a community altar. Embrace the season with Halloween-themed wellness events that will leave you feeling revitalized.
Yoga Your Way is hosting two hauntingly good workouts this October that will bring you to Tamarack State Beach all weekend long. Join in for an all levels Spooktacular Beach Pilates Class on Oct. 25 and move in costume to the rhythm of the ocean. You can also start off your Sunday with some Haunted Flow at Halloween Beach Yoga on Oct. 26.
Experience the magic of Halloween with a special gathering on Oct. 31 hosted by Happy Blue Marble. Wear your best costume for this evening filled with rituals and mystical offerings such as card readings and aura photographs. You’ll also dance your cares away with a silent disco under the starlit sky and cheers to a wonderful night with a complimentary drink.
