William D. Cannon Art Gallery
Overview
Founded in 1999, the William D. Cannon Art Gallery's mission is to promote, interpret and present to the community the art of emerging, mid-career and established artists from culturally diverse Southern California and to showcase the cultural creativity and art from other parts of the world. The curatorial focus of the gallery includes painting, sculpture, photography, print-making, mixed-media, folk art, design and installation works.
Over the past nine years, the William D. Cannon Art Gallery Juried Exhibitions have become an important showcase for the work of both emerging and mid-career artists in San Diego. Open to artists who live, work or have a studio in San Diego County, guest jurors are always professionals in the visual arts. Past jurors have included visual artists, museum directors and curators, commercial gallery owners, and university gallery directors and art professors.
