The Crossings Golf Course
Overview
The Crossings at Carlsbad is one of the top municipal golf courses in the country, and rumored to be one of the most expensive to build when it opened in 2007. Shortly after it opened, GOLF Magazine named it one of the Top 10 New Courses You Can Play. The Pacific Ocean panoramas from the veranda of the magnificent clubhouse sets the tone. And from there, it’s a non-stop thrill ride of elevation changes, well-manicured conditions, rolling terrain, and expansive greens. The front nine sports Pacific views, with the 7th green set alongside a huge and scenic waterfall. The 9th hole borders Legoland California – so you’ll hear laughing screams from roller coaster riders as you putt out. As you transition to the back nine, you’ll meander through protected land that feels secluded all throughout. Overall, the course sits among the natural habitat and wildlife on 400+ acres of Carlsbad's coastal terrain and named for the five bridges - or crossings - that were sculpted into the layout to meet environmental and topographic conditions. This facility also has one of the best driving ranges in San Diego County, as well as a chipping-only green replete with its own bunker, and a massive, two-tiered putting green. The clubhouse also has a popular indoor/outdoor bar that buzzes on Friday nights with live music – there’s no better vantage point in town to watch sunsets.
